Prostheses for upper and lower limbs
Mobility is extremely important for the quality of life of each of us, at any age. For more than 100 years, we have been working to enable our users to maintain or restore mobility. Seeing the world through the eyes of our users in order to improve the quality of life through our products, our knowledge and services, is a daily challenge for us. The quality and functionality of a good prosthesis is best assessed through adequate comfort for the patient to wear, ease of putting on and taking off, relatively light weight, high durability and aesthetically pleasing appearance. A lower leg prosthesis usually consists of a custom-made bed, a column part and at the end of the foot.
Wheelchair
In our offer you can find a large selection of wheelchairs and other orthopedic aids. Wheelchairs are specially constructed manual or electric wheelchairs that are primarily intended for immobile patients who are unable to walk due to the nature of their illness. In patients with preserved hand movements, manual wheelchairs are most often prescribed, in order to exercise the motor skills of the upper extremities. When it comes to quadriplegia (impossibility to move all limbs), then a motorized wheelchair is used, which is controlled by breathing or by voice command. Patients with hemiplegia move wheelchairs with their healthy arm and leg. The dimensions and shape of the seat, backrest and support for the legs and arms on the wheelchair must be individually adapted to each patient.
